Der Tyroszyklus des Ezechielbuches

Die vorliegende Studie widmet sich einer genauen Analyse der Tyrosworte des Ezechielbuches, die im Alten Testament in Ez 26-28 überliefert sind. In einem ersten Hauptteil wird der alttestamentliche Text literargeschichtlich eingeordnet. Im zweiten Teil wird die Geschichte der phönizischen Küstenstadt Tyros im 1. Jahrtausend v.Chr. rekonstruiert, wobei die Tyrosworte des Ezechielbuches als Quelle für die Rekonstruktion dieser Geschichte herangezogen werden. In einem dritten Teil wird das Bild von Tyros und dessen Entwicklung im Alten Testament insgesamt untersucht.
The present study is devoted to an exact analysis of the Oracles against Tyre in the Book of Ezekiel, which are handed down in the Old Testament in Ez 26-28. The first main section locates the Old Testament text within literary history. The second section reconstructs the history of the coastal city of Tyre in the 1st millennium BC, using the Oracles against Tyre from the Book of Ezekiel as a source for the reconstruction of this history. A third section examines the image of Tyre and its development in the Old Testament as a whole.
